As 2019 draws to a close, time to look back at some of the year’s best documentaries. Welcome to the inaugural edition of The Doc Yearlies!
This is your chance to vote for your favourite documentaries of the year and give four lucky directors the chance to end the year in style with a prized Doc Weekly trophy. The categories are Best Short, Best Series, Best Feature and Best Free Documentary, with some films featuring across more than one award.
All nominations are limited to films that received an official release in 2019 and were covered by Doc Weekly either in a review, article or interview this year. Voting closes on the 22nd of December and the winners will be announced in early January 2020.
