Doc weekly is back ! And we're looking for new contributors

Documentary Weekly is back and as committed as ever to bringing you the latest and best in documentary filmmaking from around the world. We showcase stories that need to be heard and films that need to be seen, with interest in documentary both as a medium of protest and as an artistic form.

In order to do so, production and distribution companies keep us on top of upcoming releases, and we regularly attend some of the most prestigious documentary film festivals in Europe : Sheffield Docfest, Cinéma du réel in Paris or IDFA in Amsterdam.

Our latest article is a review of Sergei Loznitsa’s latest film “The Invasion”, which premiered this year at Cannes. We were lucky enough to catch a screening at Les États généraux du documentaire in Lussas, France, followed by a Q&A with the director.

Doc Weekly also relies on contributors. Over the course of the last six years, we’ve been lucky enough to publish 25+ contributed articles from 18 different writers from across the world.

Now, we’re reaching out for new contributors who’d be interested in pitching documentary review ideas.

If you’re interested, please write to contactdocweekly@gmail.com and tell us what film you’d like to write about, why, and include at least two previous writing references. We’d also like to know a little about who you are, why you’re writing about documentary film and what other films topics interest you.

We look forward to reading you !
