Football is a great unifier, but in Somalia, the 2010 World Cup wasn’t even broadcast.

For decades Somalia has been a failed state, abandoned by the international community and cyclically ripped itself apart through armed conflict. The Somalian people themselves have been forgotten, but their national football team is doing everything it can to bring the nation back together.

The players have overcome impossible odds to be where they are today and none more so than Saadiq and Sa'ad who now both play professionally in the US.

Follow their breathtaking journey through hardship, and meet their incredibly warm-hearted friends and families along the way. A beautiful and human film.
