The Queen's Green Planet

The Queen's Green Planet

To mark the launch of the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy initiative, Sir David Attenborough was invited to Buckingham Palace gardens for a wander and a chat with her royal highness.

The Queen has a lifelong passion for trees, planting them all around the world as well as in her own garden to mark the births of her children.

With her new initiative, she hopes to make a difference to climate change and conservation by providing a protection and prestige to some of the commonwealth's most beautiful forests. We catch a glimpse of some of these magical locations through the eyes of her travelling ambassadors, Princes William and Harry.

This is a snapshot of what can happen when powerful people take a problem seriously, united by a fascination and love for the natural world - something that we can all get behind.
