Peter and the Farm
You’ve never met an organic farmer quite as eccentric, entertaining, foul-mouthed or as heavy a drinker as Peter Dunning.
His beautiful yet unforgiving farm in Vermont is his life’s tireless work. There he’s fallen in love, raised children, witnessed hundreds of seasons pass, countless animals live and die but also seen his most cherished relationships ultimately hit the rocks.
Director Tony Stone does an incredible job of revealing Peter’s multiple facets, doing his best to steer Peter away from his suicidal tendencies and unsuccessfully trying to keep his own life from enmeshing with Peter’s.
Peter’s genuine charisma and brilliance combined with the frankly breathtaking beauty of some of Nathan Corbin’s shots of the farm make this film a pure joy to watch.
