The phenomenal rise of cheap, small and remote-controlled flying drones seems to have quietly happened over the course of about 10 years and you’d be naive to think they won’t be transforming your life soon.

Dezeen presents ELEVATION, a film about how Drones will transform cities, revolutionising how people travel, how goods are delivered and how buildings look and are constructed. "Aerial highways" will relieve pressure on roads as deliveries and human transportation take to the skies in unmanned electric vehicles.

In this short documentary, Dezeen approach academics, practitioners and thinkers from a variety of industries to discover how they see the future of cities unfolding in the era of the drone.
