Nus Essan Rumantschs (We are Romansh)

Nus Essan Rumantschs (We are Romansh)

Romansh is an endangered language spoken only by a small number of inhabitants in the Swiss Alps. UNESCO predicts that Romansh, along with more than half the world's languages, will be extinct by the turn of the century.

But how do you keep a language alive?

This beautiful film sets out to meet some of Roumansh's most determined ambassadors.

Among them is the artist Pascal Gambino, who by paying tribute to his people's unique heritage through his touching music, hopes to be making a difference.
