Rams

There’s a lot more to industrial design than you might think, especially if you’re Dieter Rams.

Dieter is widely considered to be the most influential designer alive and although the bulk of his work was released with Braun in the 50s and 60s, his guiding principle of “Less but Better” holds true even more today than it did back then.

Dieter preaches smart, rational, minimal design that makes products feel like tools, perfect extensions of the human form. What has brought him increased attention today is his focus on longevity, sustainability and timeless design.

His life’s work holds some real solutions for the challenges of our era and this portrait serves as a wonderful insight with a soothing soundtrack from a giant of his own field, Brian Eno.
