What Are You Watching? Ep.8 - Virunga, Won't You Be My Neighbor and Learning to Skate in a Warzone...
For episode 8 of What Are You Watching, Beatriz joined us from Brooklyn, New York in our latest Quarantine Edition.
The last documentary Beatriz saw was Netflix’s “Virunga”, the story of the national park’s fight for survival and her favourite ever biopic is “Won’t You Be My Neighbor”, featuring America’s much loved Mr Rogers. She cried when she caught “Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You’re a Girl)” at the Tribeca Film Festival and next she’s watching “Three Identical Strangers” - a favourite of ours too!
Two of our favourite production companies did well in this one. Orlando Von Einsiedel’s Grain Media, with the Oscar-nominated “Virunga” and Oscar-winning “Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You’re a Girl)“. Along with Dogwoof, who are behind both “Three Identical Strangers” and Won’t You Be My Neighbor”. Make sure you check out their other brilliant films.
